Autumn bundle
A bundle of book-based resources linked to the topic of autumn. Included in this pack are Starting Points notes for Pumpkin Soup, Starting Points notes for Leaf Man, and a Guided Reading pack for Storm. Each of these is available separately on the Primary English website, but can be downloaded here as a value-for-money bundle.
Storm: Guided Reading Reading Pack
This teaching sequence focuses on inference skills and includes the following resources:
A guided reading lesson plan in an editable word document format
A role on the wall template
A writing template for independent writing
A photocopiable set of comprehension questions for independent or teacher/ TA supported work
A wordsearch suitable for independent work
Based on Sam Usher’s delightful picture book, this set of planning will support work into autumn, weather and grandparents.

Expanded noun phrases for description and specification
Co-ordination (using or, and, but)
